French Teacher Immersion Tour
Our French teacher immersion workshops are designed especially for language teachers, to make them better informed about today’s French culture and language. We spend eleven days of non-stop immersion, experiencing morning seminars which focus on the burning issues of France today and afternoons exploring places of historical and cultural interest. Bien sûr, nous ne parlons que français pendant tout le séjour, as all use of the English language is discouraged. We stay in a different city in France each year and fan out to the neighboring countryside for day trips. You’ll need to unpack only once, and you’ll come away from the workshop with a deeper understanding and appreciation of the region and its particular characteristics.
By attending our French teacher immersion workshop, educators not only increase their language fluency and understanding of French culture, they also earn the respect of supervisors and parents who appreciate their efforts to bring today’s France into their classroom. Students are grateful for their teacher’s understanding of recent events in Europe which in turn makes the students better prepared for tomorrow’s world. We focus on the themes taught in the advanced classes in high schools in the US, and our Advisory Board serves to ensure the highest levels of academic excellence.
See the extensive list of the cities in which we have been proudly holding our workshops since 1998. In the twenty-six years of our existence, we have canceled our tour only once, in 2020–Coronavirus oblige. Our 2025 stage will be held in the capital of the Basque Country, Bayonne, with an optional extension to Bilbao, Spain. Come rejuvenate your French skills with us. Vous ne le regretterez pas.
You can reserve your spot for this trip in two different ways, electronically or by snail mail. SIGN ME UP FOR THE 2025 WORKSHOP! Note that we continue to enroll until all spots are filled. Please inquire about space available after April 15, 2025.
